Steps to import dxf files and offset positions into CNCOffsetCalculator.

1. Draw your workpiece in AutoCAD in plan top view with contour lines showing the geometry. Mark each offset as a point and save the drawing as dxf file. Example of a part drawn in AutoCAD:

  2.    Open the CNC Offset Calculator and select your machine from the list on the Toolbar (or you may need to set parameters for your CNC machine - see MC Setup).
Check the box Read Offsets in Gen page.

Open the dxf file, click File | Load dxf ...
The imported offsets have Y0 and B0 values. Change them according to your part (next step)

 3.   Either type the Y and B values into the edit boxes manually or use the Pick Angle button (next to the B edit box) and pick the line showing the B angle on your workpiece. If the angle is reversed, click the AA button to reverse it 180 deg. Save the offset and repeat for each one.

 4.   Set the options for the CNC format in MC Setup | Editor page and click the Post CNC button to generate the CNC program. The following example is set as system variables for OKUMA CNC control.
