Cube2Globe.gif (24183 bytes)   Cube2Globe is a small program which I wrote some time ago for my wife. She had a task to make a globe to fit in a cube and a globe with equal area as a given square. The globe is made of sections - the more sections you make, the more accurate the globe will be. Each section is divided into divisions - the more divisions you make, the more accurate the globe will be.

So there are three input variables:

  • side of the cube (or side of the square) - to toggle press the check button Square
  • number of sections
  • number of divisions in each half section

The results are printed in the text area and could be printed in Excel spreadsheet - press the button Output to Excel. You can plot the graph using Excel Wizard. The text can be saved into text file - File->Save Text...

The program requires Windows 98 or higher, screen resolution at least 800x600, mouse and 200kB space on the hard disc.
